The Birthday Girl!

To my lovely wife, the mother of our beautiful twins, the planner of events, and most importantly my best friend... Happy 25th Birthday!!! Here is the picture of you getting hugged by Bubba the Birthday bear.

My sister-in-law Jenia just tagged me to do a post. While I don't really know much about tagging, I assume that I'm supposed to do what she says! :) The assignment: blog about the 6th picture in your 6th photo folder. Since I'm not at home, I'm using my Picasa album.

This is from my trip to Annapolis this summer with my college roommates! I'm so glad this is the 6th folder, because my roommates definitely deserve a shout out in my blog. While it's not the 6th picture, I'll add another of the 4 of us -- Katie, Heather, Whitney, and me. I heart you guys!

15 Weeks

Here we are at 15 weeks! You'll have to forgive the "scandalous" tank top photo, but the sweater I was wearing over it made me look a little shapeless. :)

We spent the weekend in Knoxville, TN at Wes & Rebecca's wedding, where I was the matron of honor. The wedding was gorgeous, as was the bride! Tony and I both really enjoyed ourselves. I forgot the camera (pregnancy brain?), but as soon as somebody else sends me some photos, I'll be sure to post some.

I'm looking hopefully toward 16 weeks, since that's the magic number that everybody keeps quoting about morning sickness. While I haven't gotten sick for about a week now, that doesn't actually mean I'm feeling better -- I think nausea is just as bad as throwing up! I also have another doctor's appointment on Monday, and my sister-in-law has tagged me for a post, so look for more posts soon!

P.S. You can click on "belly shots" just below here to see all of my shots in a row.

Tony's Turn

Wow! I just turned 27 and I am going to be the father of twins. This is very exciting stuff! Unlike Heather I will not be posting any belly pictures but want you all to know that I will be doing my best to stay ahead of her in total weight throughout the pregnancy! :-) It helps that I have been able to keep all of my food down during "our" first trimester.

Since I have taken a larger share in cooking responsibilities I found the following phenomenon as I was making breakfast the other day:
I guess it's just a sign of things to come. :-)

Happy Birthday, Tony!

The man of the house turns 27 today! I'm sure you all know how fantastic he is, since everybody who meets him loves him. :) (I might be biased.) He's a super husband, incredibly patient, makes me laugh every day, and he's going to be a great Daddy. Love you, Tony!

UPDATE: I forgot to mention how handsome he is! Let's hope our kids get some of his dashing good looks. :)

I found a website the other day that sells novelty maternity t-shirts, and I've decided that I'm a huge fan! I can't wait to get big enough to justify wearing some of these shirts. I know some people might think they're dorky, but I don't care. :) Here are a few of my favorites. They're not very big, but I think you can still read them. The website is if you're interested.

This is one that I would never wear in real life, but it made me laugh.

I'm going to try to convince Tony to make a post sometime soon, so keep your eyes open for that! Have a great weekend!

12 Weeks

I'm sure you've all been anxiously awaiting the next belly picture ... and maybe you won't make fun of me for having a flat belly this time. :) If I look tired in this picture, it's because I am! Tony and I have both been sick with colds, and mine doesn't seem to be going away. Plus, the morning sickness keeps going, and going ....

I had another doctor's appointment today, and got to hear both heartbeats for the first time! I could hear two very distinct heartbeats -- how cool!

Now that we know they're okay, and my first trimester is over, Tony and I have been brainstorming potential careers for the twins. Here's what we've come up with so far:
  • Synchronized swimmers
  • Players for the Minnesota Twins
  • Doublemint gum commercials
  • Doubles tennis players
  • Stunt doubles or body doubles for each other

Obviously, we need your help -- post a comment and let us know your creative thoughts for our childrens' careers. No doubt, they'll be double trouble no matter what!
