Under the Sun (Ecclesiastes 3)

Yep, I'm the mom who buys sunglasses for her babies. I love to get out on walks with the girls, but it seems like they're always squinting (okay, throwing their arms over their eyes and acting like their retinas are burning) when the sun gets in their eyes. We finally got to test-drive the sunglasses yesterday. The twins didn't pull on the sunglasses too much, and they're just adorable, right? :)

Pizza Party!

Have you ever heard of House Party? If you haven't, you should check it out! Thanks to Digiorno pizza, I was able to host a House Party for my family -- 8 adults and 9 kids -- for totally free! Digiorno just came out with a new product -- pizza and breadsticks in the same box -- so they wanted to promote their new stuff. They sent a House Party notification to me, I applied to host one, and got accepted! Within a few weeks, I had coupons for free pizza, coupons for my guests, and party favors delivered to my door. We had SO much fun!

So Happy Together

Fact: Tony and I have awesome friends and family. So awesome, that some friends of ours agreed to watch the girls overnight so that we could celebrate our 5th anniversary in style! (It's not officially until the 25th, for those of you who are wondering.)

Here we are, celebrating freedom after about 5 minutes in the car! Yes, we were at a stoplight, Mom...

Our gorgeous hotel room at The Warwick in downtown Denver. We got a suite with a private balcony! The best part? I scored the room at 50% off!

On the way to dinner, we saw a tree with a heart carved into it. Corny picture? Yes. We don't care. :)

Our hotel had a rooftop pool! It was heated, but neither of us felt like risking pneumonia in 30 degree weather. I did get this funky shot of the view from up there while I was playing with the panorama feature on my camera.

Where's Tony? On Sunday, we explored the area west of Denver on I-70, including a stop at Red Rocks Amphitheater, which is pretty cool!

We realized about halfway through our time away that we REALLY missed the girls. It was nice to be away (and get some sleep!), but in the end, we couldn't wait to get them back in our arms. From what I gathered, they did pretty well without us, except that they have colds, which was unfortunate timing. Thanks, Wes and Rebecca, for taking such good care of them!

Sugar and Spice and Everything Nice

Just a couple pictures of my gals today. Hope your day is wonderful!

Post a Caption V

There are so many good pictures to choose from this time! Here's my favorite:

I don't know how they got into this position, since they're not really scooting yet. I think that Hadley was on her tummy while Leila was sitting nearby, and Leila flipped onto her stomach and landed on Hadley's legs. They were perfectly happy to be like this, though!

What's your caption?

9 Months Old

Technically, the twins 9-month birthday was yesterday, but I think you'll cut me some slack. :) We are having so much fun right now! Today, Leila rolled about 8 times in a row, but she got hung up on a tub of wipes, so she couldn't go any further. (I moved them, but then the fun was over.) Hadley's been spending her time working on picking up tiny things with her fingers, and she's getting pretty good! Watch out, world -- here they come!

On Mommy's end, we just got back from my first-ever trip to the grocery store in which I tried to use the stroller AND a grocery cart. You people with ONE baby in ONE car seat that can snap into the grocery cart have no idea! It was clumsy and kind of annoying AND I didn't realize my coupons didn't scan correctly until I left the store ... so I think my best bet is just to go shopping in the evening when Tony can stay with the girls. And that's okay. I just wanted to see if I could do it! :)
