Time for Marlowe's 3-year update! She's really been 3 for a couple of months now. I guess time flies when you're having fun!
Marlowe continues to be spunky and mischievous. She keeps up with the twins, is just a few pounds smaller, and is nearly as verbal as them, so I think I forget that she's 2.5 years younger. Then she reminds me, by coloring on the walls or stealing candy from the kitchen counter. I'm sure if I think about it, I could come up with some really fantastic stories about trouble she's gotten into ... but I don't want to remember. :)
She's been potty trained for about six months now. I should put "potty training" in quotes because she's doing an awesome job during the day, but isn't staying dry at nap-time and night time yet. I'm thinking she'll outgrow it, so I'm not addressing it yet.
Oh, also, I haven't actually researched this, but she's got to be close to the world's slowest teether. At 3 years, 2 months, and 1 day, she still doesn't have all of her 2-year molars. The two that she does have are barely showing. BUT I'm thankful because she doesn't show that teething behavior that babies do, yay!
It is nearly impossible for me to get a good group picture with Marlowe in it. She can't sit still and manages to be making faces when she is still. Actually, it's pretty hard to get a good shot no matter what. Four kids will do that to you. :)
Marlowe is Little Miss Personality. She's an extrovert to the max. She loves to be around people, and people love to be around Marlowe. She chats with total strangers, and makes the people who know her well laugh and smile. "Oh, that Marlowe!" we hear often. She has a sparkle in her bright blue eyes that is equal parts ornery and charming -- a dangerous combination. :)
We are so thankful to have our third beautiful little girl to keep us on our toes. She shows massive amounts of affection to her parents and sisters and she makes my heart happy. Love you, Marlowe Grace!
